Fisheries Ministry Announces Marine Hatchery Skills Development Programme

The Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources has unveiled the Marine Hatchery Skills Development Programme, offering an opportunity for individuals to enhance their proficiency in fish hatchery techniques. 

This collaborative initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources in conjunction with the Maldives Marine Research Institute, aims to provide a foundational mariculture course, equipping participants with essential skills in the field.

Prospective candidates are invited to submit their applications by 14:00 on the 31st of this month to be considered for the program. The scheduled duration of the course is from 8th February 2024 to 21st February, and it will take place in K. Maniyafushi. Participants will be accommodated in Maniyafushi for the duration of the program. 

The Fisheries Ministry will facilitate travel between Male’ and Maniyafushi for course-related purposes, and provide accommodation and meals for participants.

The program is limited to 15 participants, with selection prioritised based on the order of application submissions in the event of an overflow of applicants.
