Gov’t Announces Assurance of Land Allocation Document

The Ministry of Housing, Land, and Urban Development has issued a letter of assurance regarding the allocation of land to individuals who were beneficiaries of the previous government’s land scheme.

In a statement released on the Housing Ministry’s, it was affirmed that land will indeed be allocated to the rightful recipients. Minister Dr. Ali Haidar Ahmed received the pertinent documentation during a formal handover.

The documents necessary for land recipients will be accessible through the Hiyaavahi Portal, facilitating ease of access and transparency in the process.

Under the initial phase of the previous government’s land scheme, a total of 18,955 individuals are deemed eligible for land allocation, with 9,003 plots earmarked for distribution. The allocated land is slated for Hulhumale’, Gulhifalhu, and Giraavru.

Nevertheless, a notable alteration has been announced by the Ministry concerning the land use plan for Giraavaru Falhu. This revision entailed the relocation of over 1300 land plots originally designated for the area to Gulhi Falhu.
