Gov’t Initiates Proposal Process Across Islands for Eid al-Adha Festivities

The Ministry of Dhivehi Language, Culture, and Heritage has initiated the process of soliciting proposals from various islands interested in collaborating for this year’s Eid al-Adha festivities.

The Ministry outlined its intention to celebrate Eid al-Adha on three chosen islands, selected based on the merit of proposals received. 

Interested islands are encouraged to submit their proposals via email before 1:00 pm on May 9th. 

Emphasising the importance of community involvement, the Ministry specified that proposals will be assessed on the basis of planned events, financial contributions from the island council, and provisions made to ensure the festivities are accessible to all without charge.
