Gov’t Invites Participation in 5 Million Tree Project

Ministry of Climate Change, Environment and Energy invites participation in the 5 Million Tree Project as the world celebrates World Environment Day.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced the 5 Million Tree Project launch, a pivotal component of the government’s manifesto. This undertaking underscores the administration’s dedication to preserving the Maldives’ invaluable ecosystems and mitigating the effects of climate change for present and future generations.

Participants are invited to commit to planting 5 million trees over the next five years, aligning with the Strategic Action Plan outlined by the Ministry. As part of this commitment, signatories pledge to:
- Contribute to the planting of trees over the next five years.
- Document and share details and images of tree planting activities with the Ministry.
- Advocate for environmental awareness and community engagement in the project.
Individuals and organisations are encouraged to express their support by signing the pledge. Participation is voluntary, and a signed pledge form can be submitted.
