Gov’t Launches ‘Haalu Kihineh?’ Programme in Vilimale’
The Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) has launched its ‘Haalu Kihineh?’ programme in Vilimale’, with activities commencing yesterday.
The initiative aims to reach out to families and elderly individuals to assess their health and well-being, working closely with the community to provide necessary support. The programme is being implemented in collaboration with the Vilimale’ Women’s Development Committee and will continue for a period of two weeks, during which the team plans to visit all households on the island.
Minister of Social and Family Development, Dr Aishath Shiham, was present at the launch yesterday at 16:00hrs, personally visiting several homes alongside the programme team.
The Ministry has announced its intention to extend the programme nationwide, with the goal of visiting every household within the coming year to gather information on living conditions and offer State assistance where needed.
While the visits are organised according to a schedule set by the Ministry, citizens in urgent need of help are encouraged to contact the MSF through their hotline at 1433.
