Gov’t Resumes Weekly Picnic for Children at Fiyavathi Hiyaa

The Ministry of Social and Family Development has announced the resumption of weekly picnics for children residing at Fiyavathi Hiyaa in Hulhumale’.
The initiative, which includes participation from staff and caregivers at Fiyavathi, aims to provide recreational activities for the children. Various sports were organised during the recent gathering to keep the young residents entertained.
Emphasising its commitment to ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children living in state shelters, the Ministry of Social and Family Development stated that it is closely engaging with the families of these children to enhance their overall welfare. Special attention is being given to reintegrating families into a stable home life and fostering a secure environment conducive to children’s development.
