President Dr Mohamed Muizzu revealed plans for the government to conduct public forums every three months, providing a platform for citizens to pose questions directly to the authorities.
The inaugural forum is scheduled for next month, as stated by Muizzu during the swearing-in ceremony of the recently elected mayor and councillors of the Male City Council.
Muizzu emphasised the importance of public participation, assuring that citizens will have the opportunity to voice their queries at these forums. Muizzu is set to commence visits to various islands starting next week, intending to connect with people across the nation.
Furthermore, the government plans to enhance transparency by having ministers engage with the public every two months, providing explanations about the workings of their respective ministries.
He asserted that there is no question beyond addressing and highlighted the commitment of himself and his team to diligently fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to them by the people.
