Starting in August, the Ministry will begin conducting the necessary assessments to develop a system for designating and implementing toll fees. This process will involve consultations with all relevant government authorities.

According to the Ministry, the introduction of toll fees is essential for the sustainable maintenance of bridges and highways.

The planned introduction of toll fees is one of several measures announced at last night’s ceremony. The government will also enhance the regulation of vehicle registration and parking. Additionally, plans are in place to introduce decongestion measures by setting vehicle carrying capacities, regulating automobile sales, and implementing vehicle buyback schemes.
