Gov’t to Maintain 9AM to 1PM Schedule for Ramadan and First Seven Days of Shawwal

The President’s Office has announced that official working hours during the month of Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal will remain from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., consistent with previous years.

Ramadan is expected to begin on Wednesday, February 18, or Thursday, February 19, depending on the sighting of the moon. If the month starts on February 18, the seventh day of Shawwal will fall on Thursday, March 26.

The announcement confirms that government offices will follow the reduced hours throughout Ramadan and the initial days of Shawwal, providing continuity for employees and the public.

Additionally, the last ten days of Ramadan are expected to be observed as public holidays.
