The Maldives has participated in the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival, one of the largest regional trade and entrepreneurship events held in the Middle East.
The festival is taking place from 31 January to 1 February in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The Maldivian delegation is being led by the Business Center Corporation (BCC), which is representing the country at the event. Through BCC, three local technology-focused businesses are participating in the festival, namely Pi Networks, Javaabu and Eazeapp.
The participation aims to showcase innovative Maldivian products and services while building strategic networks with international stakeholders. BCC has highlighted that the initiative aligns with its objective of expanding opportunities for Small and Medium Enterprises in international markets.
BCC has also noted that the exhibitions and networking sessions organised during the festival provide avenues for Maldivian businesses to pursue strategic collaborations and attract potential investments.
The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival is recognised as a major regional platform for start-ups and innovation, bringing together investors, policymakers and entrepreneurs from across the region and beyond to strengthen international partnerships.
