Maldives Team Heads to ITB Berlin to Showcase Local Cuisine

A delegation of Maldivian chefs has departed for Germany to attend the upcoming ITB Berlin 2024, the world’s leading travel trade show, to represent and showcase the culinary heritage of the Maldives.

Led by Executive Sous Chef Ibrahim Zuhair, the team comprises two talented pastry chefs, Aminath Lahfa and Junaina Jamsheed.

A selection of traditional Maldivian dishes, prepared using authentic ingredients and techniques will be showcased at the Maldives stall. Additionally, the Maldives team will conduct live cooking demonstrations.

One of the highlights of ITB Berlin 2024 will be the Maldivian Evening, hosted by Maha Naseer, a prominent figure in the Maldivian culinary scene and a board member of the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC). 

With over 106 representatives from more than 100 tourism companies participating in the fair, the ITB Berlin 2024 is set to be held from Tuesday, 5th – 7th March.
