Male’ City Council Begins Preparations for al-Adha Eid Street Decorations

The Male’ City Council has initiated efforts to embellish the streets with vibrant arches and illuminations in preparation for the forthcoming al-Adha Eid celebrations.

According to Male City Council, street decoration activities commenced yesterday. Teams comprising council personnel and collaborators from the State Electric Company (STELCO) are actively engaged in these initiatives.

This initiative mirrors the adorned streets of Male’, Hulhumale’, and Vilimale’ during the recent Fitr Eid festivities earlier this year.

Furthermore, various islands scattered across the atolls were adorned in a similar fashion during the preceding Fitr Eid. The government has asserted that this Eid, akin to previous occasions, will witness the adornment of administrative hubs in the atolls alongside other islands, with assistance from respective local councils.

At a national level, Eid celebrations are slated to take place in Gaafu Alif atoll’s Villin’gili, Dhaalu atoll’s Kuda Huvadhoo, and Raa atoll’s Ungoofaaru.
