Male’ City Council Unveils System for Disposal of Religious Texts

The Male’ City Council has revealed plans to implement a system for the disposal of old books, particularly those containing religious verses from the Qur’an or Hadith. 

According to an announcement made today by the council, these documents will undergo disposal procedures twice annually.

Individuals can surrender such materials at the Male’ City Council office from the 27th of this month until May 2nd, as stated by the agency.

Throughout this period, the council’s public service section will operate daily from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at both the Villimale’ and Hulhumale’ locations.
