Ministry of Social and Family Development Engages in Vision 2050 Workshop

The Ministry of Social and Family Development, alongside the Minister of Housing, Land and Urban Development and UNFPA Maldives, co-organized the “Vision 2050” workshop from 1st to 3rd July. 

The workshop convened a diverse group of youth and experts in the field to discuss the future trajectory of the Maldives, focusing on the formulation and implementation of effective policies. Key discussions centred around strategic policy development and the pivotal roles of youth in shaping national agendas.

A significant portion of the workshop’s agenda was dedicated to envisioning the Maldives’ state in 2050. Participants engaged in collaborative activities, policy formulation, and strategic planning based on thorough research. The session culminated in a feedback gathering session to gather insights from various participant groups.

The concluding day saw participants being recognised for their contributions with certificates awarded by Minister of Housing, Land and Urban Development Dr Ali Haidar Ahmed.
