MNDF Responds to 23 Incidents Across Maldives in One Week

The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) responded to 23 incidents across the Maldives between 12 and 18 July 2026, according to its weekly incident report.

Fire incidents accounted for the largest share of responses, with the MNDF Fire and Rescue Service attending 12 cases during the week. The force also responded to five rescue incidents, four medical evacuation incidents, one hazardous materials incident and one incident classified under other categories.

The MNDF recorded no disaster or alarm incidents during the reporting period.

The Malé Area Command recorded the highest number of incidents, with 16 cases. The Central and Southern Area Commands each recorded three incidents, while the Northern Area Command recorded one.
