Over 160 Land Plots Handed Over in Gulhifalhu Development

The Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development has stated that more than 160 land plots in Gulhifalhuhave been distributed to recipients to date, as part of the ongoing land allocation initiative.
The allocation process resumed following amendments to the land use plan, aimed at improving access to essential services for future residents. Under the revised plan, plot specifications were finalised and recipients were selected through a draw.
The ministry reported that agreement signing, registry processes and land handovers are currently underway. A total of 2,972 recipients have signed agreements so far, with registry transfers continuing, while 169 plots have already been handed over.
In Gulhifalhu, plots are being distributed across seven size categories, ranging from 1,250 to 3,650 square feet. The allocation includes 669 plots of 1,250 square feet, 1,234 plots of 1,650 square feet, 916 plots of 2,050 square feet, 473 plots of 2,450 square feet, 158 plots of 2,850 square feet, 49 plots of 3,250 square feet and 21 plots of 3,650 square feet.
The land use plan for Gulhifalhu has undergone three revisions to date. The latest version incorporates designated areas for residential and social housing, along with key services, including zones for education, healthcare and industrial use, as well as public parks and sports facilities aimed at supporting a planned community environment.
