Pakistan Pledges to Support Maldives for Development Needs

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has been assured of the support of the Pakistani Government to address the pressing development needs of the Maldives.
This reassurance was conveyed by Anwaar-ul Haq Kakar, the 8th caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, during a telephone conversation with the President earlier today.
During the call, both leaders discussed ways to fortify the bilateral ties between the two nations. They discussed the top priorities for the countries, and spoke on enhancing cooperation in the international arena.
Speaking with the President, the 8th caretaker Prime Minister additionally conveyed his support and assistance to the Maldives’ efforts to mitigate the effects of climate change.
The Maldives established diplomatic relations with Pakistan on July 26, 1966.
