‘Reintegration Ward’ Established in Guraidhoo Home to Assist Individuals Returning to Families

The Ministry of Social and Family Development has introduced the ‘Reintegration Ward’ within Guraidhoo island’s “Home for People with Special Needs”, aiming to support individuals transitioning back to family life.
Situated within the Special Needs Center in Gurgaon, the Reintegration Ward specifically caters to women undergoing treatment for mental health conditions who are deemed ready for societal reintegration.
Central to the objectives of this initiative is the provision of training in household management and essential social skills. The newly constructed facility, designed to accommodate up to 10 individuals, is modelled as a functional household, complete with a kitchen.
It is scheduled to commence operations next month, pending final preparations.
The Ministry underscores its commitment to delivering compassionate and tailored services to those under its care, with a focus on identifying and addressing individual needs and challenges.
This initiative reflects the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of support services provided to vulnerable populations.
