STELCO Concludes Development Programme for Station Managers
State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has concluded its “Development Programme for Station Managers,” a seminar spanning from June 30 to July 4.
Attended by station managers from 33 islands, the event marked a significant initiative aimed at enhancing operational standards across STELCO’s power plants.

A key highlight of the seminar was the launch of the “STELCO Power Plant Operating Handbook,” a 351-page compendium designed to standardise operational protocols within the company’s power generation facilities. Managing Director Hussain Fahmy officially unveiled the handbook, which not only details operational procedures but also delves into the company’s service history, vision, and infrastructure.
Addressing participants at the seminar’s closing ceremony, Managing Director Hussain Fahmy emphasised the importance of a national ethos among employees in delivering exemplary service to the community. He expressed optimism about STELCO’s potential to lead in the Maldivian market, citing the company’s robust resources, effective management, and commitment to employee development.
Fahmy encouraged station managers to leverage insights gained from the development programme, underscoring STELCO’s dedication to fostering employee engagement and ensuring high-quality service delivery. He reiterated the company’s pledge to uphold strong employee relations and steadfast customer service.
In addition to leadership training, the seminar also addressed energy conservation through lifestyle adjustments, reflecting STELCO’s proactive stance on community challenges and service enhancement.
