Swimmer Thazkiya Wins Silver in Sri Lankan Championships

Amna Thazkiya Mirsaad has secured a silver medal in the 50m freestyle event in the junior category at the National and Junior National Long Course Swimming Championships in Sri Lanka.

Swimmers from the Maldives have achieved notable success in the tournament, winning two bronze medals and one silver medal so far. Among these achievements, Thazkiya’s performance has been particularly impressive. She completed the 50m freestyle event with a remarkable time of 00:29.67.

This silver medal marks Thazkiya’s second individual accolade in the competition, following her bronze medal in the 100m freestyle event. Additionally, she played a key role in her team’s triumph by contributing to their gold medal win in the 4x100m medley relay.

Thazkiya’s accomplishments highlight the growing talent and competitive spirit of Maldivian swimmers on the international stage.
