Zakat House Opens Registration for Low-Income Residents

The Maldives Zakat House announced that the registration for the poor and low-income citizens’ registry is now open for eligible residents of Male’ City, last Thursday.

Starting from Sunday, citizens interested in applying can submit their forms between 09:30 and 12:00 on weekdays during the registration period.
The Zakat House also noted that individuals who received Zakat this year but were removed from the registry without notification will be re-listed and will not need to reapply.
Application forms are available at the Zakat House counter and on their official website. Completed forms must be submitted physically at the counter.
Zakat affairs were previously managed by a section under the Ministry of Islamic.
