Dhun started Sweet Corner in early 2021. Baking has always been her passion, but when she had to quit her job because of the pandemic, she decided to start baking with her two best friends at home.
When her best friends decided to go back to work, Dhun decided to start her own home baking business and ‘Sweet Corner.mv’ was born.
Sweet Corner’s famous dishes are double chocolate fudge brownies and milk tres leches cakes. Dhun believes that her brownies are the best in the town. She says that, if you are a chocolate lover, their Double Chocolate Fudge Brownies is a must try.
Dhun believes that small businesses need a lot of help to sustain their small businesses from the government. Small businesses play an important role in the country’s economy.
She further explained that the government can bring small businesses under one category to a platform, such as a food court, where they are able to showcase their products and services.
This platform will work as a way for home bakers like Dhun to display and sell their products. Also, allowing food trucks for home cooks and bakers would be an excellent way to showcase their dishes.
