Two Men Arrested in Hulhumale’ Over Suspected Stolen Motorbike

Two men were arrested in Hulhumale’ Phase I in the early hours of yesterday morning on suspicion of driving a stolen motorbike.
The Police identified the suspects as Ahmed Visan, 30, from Glory, L. Maavah, and Mohamed Atheef, 48, from Bulshamma’aage, GDh. Gadhdhoo.

According to the Police, the men were stopped near the Beach Club at Dhiggaa Magu after officers on patrol became suspicious of their behaviour upon noticing law enforcement. A search was subsequently carried out, raising suspicions that they were operating a stolen motorbike.
The Police have confirmed that the case remains under further investigation.
Theft remains one of the most frequently reported crimes in the Maldives.
