Bangladesh High Commission Donates Sports Equipment to Maldives
The High Commission of Bangladesh in the Maldives has donated sports equipment to the Ministry of Sports, Fitness, and Recreation on behalf of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
The donated items include 100 footballs, 100 futsal balls, 90 volleyballs, and 100 bibs.

State Minister Mohamed Riyaz received the items from Rear Admiral S M Abul Kalam Azad, High Commissioner of Bangladesh, during a ceremony at the Ministry. Minister Riyaz expressed his gratitude to the High Commissioner and the Government of Bangladesh for the gifts, stating that they will help to enhance sports activities in the Maldives. He also mentioned that the equipment will be distributed to schools and other institutions.
High Commissioner Azad highlighted the longstanding relationship between Bangladesh and the Maldives, noting that it is growing stronger. He mentioned ongoing collaboration in many fields and expressed Bangladesh’s willingness to support the Maldives in various areas.
High officials from both the Ministry and the Mission were present at the ceremony.
