FENAKA Corporation Limited has announced the acquisition and installation of 43 new generators across various islands in the Maldives, aiming to enhance the country’s electricity infrastructure.
At the beginning of the year, FENAKA identified the necessity to upgrade the generator capacity on numerous islands where it provides electricity services. This led to the recognition that many existing generators required overhauling.

Under new management, the corporation has initiated steps to address these issues, starting with the procurement of new generators. By the end of the first quarter, new generators had been delivered to 20 islands, addressing previous electricity generation challenges.
In addition to purchasing and installing 43 new generators, FENAKA has undertaken essential overhauls and engineering work on several islands. These efforts have significantly improved generator performance and increased generation capacity.
FENAKA has reported an overall improvement in the electricity situation on many islands compared to the start of the year.
The company continues its efforts with further overhauls, procurement of spare parts, and additional generator purchases.
