Its Not Too Late to Experience “Through the Eyes of Van Gogh”

Due to popular demand, the Through the Eyes of Van Gough show has been extended for one additional day. The show runs until the 7th of June 2022 at the National Art Gallery in Male'.

The international art exhibition arranged by local bookstore MUSE pays a tribute to Vincent Willem Van Gogh- one of the most famous and influential art figures in Western Art History.

Adults and children alike, are presented with the chance to wander throughout the space, exploring nooks and crannies and engaging with art pieces that transcend vivid colors allowing several interpretations and emotions. Guests can make live paintings by local artists part of their wonderful experience.

According to MUSE, Through the Eyes of Van Gogh was created for artists to showcase their work, style, and skills inspired by Vincent Van Gogh, one of the most famous and well-known artists of all time.

Over 300 participants, both locally and internationally in the exhibition, but the best painting and installations from 50+ local artists and 40+ international artists from Malaysia, the Philippines, India, and the United States were chosen for the exhibition.

Muse.mv had also carried out competition during this event, awarding first, second and third places for the local artists that participated. While Ali Azim (Zim) won first place with a cash prize of MVR 20,000, Mariyam Yumnu came second for her piece “Mobula Birostris”, winning an MVR 10,000 cash prize, while Zoya Umar came third for her piece “Sinamale’ Bridge Starry Night”, winning an MVR 5,000 cash prize.
