The free games for November for PS+ subscribers are:

  • Knockout City (PS5, PS4)
  • First Class Trouble (PS5, PS4)
  • Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning (PS4)
  • The Persistence (PSVR)
  • The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners (PSVR)
  • Until You Fall (PSVR)

In addition to the standard free monthly games, we also get three additional PSVR games.

Knockout City is a team-based multiplayer game that takes extreme dodgeball to even more extreme levels. If you run out of balls to throw at the enemy team, no problem – you can just throw one of your teammates.

First Class Trouble is what Among Us would be if it had an HD presentation. In fact, First Class plays almost the exact same as Among Us including completing tasks and setting up traps as the impostor. If you liked the gameplay of Among Us but want it to be in a more realistic visual style, this might be right up your alley.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is the remaster of the very well-received Kingdoms of Amalur which originally came out in 2012. Any fans of western style action RPGs with deep customization systems should try this one.

The PSVR games are a special bonus for PSVR owners. Although all three VR games are great, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners stands out as a premium VR gaming experience.

Rumor: Horizon VR game in development

Multiple confirmed leakers speaking out about it, various Sony job postings, and an accidental tweet by a Sony staffer have all but confirmed a VR game set in the universe of Horizon: Zero Dawn. The game is to debut on the next-gen PSVR 2 and will feature visuals that are on par with the original PS4 game, and will also share its story with the mainline entries as well.

Of course, we do not have any official word on the game or its release date yet, but it should only be a matter of time before Sony makes the announcement.

Rumor: Multiple unannounced games seen in Nvidia leak

Code diggers have found a treasure trove of unannounced games in an Nvidia GeForce database. There are some expected titles in the leak such as Resident Evil 4 Remake, Monster Hunter 6, and a new Mortal Kombat game but the real gems were the still unknown releases like Chrono Cross Remaster, Final Fantasy 9 Remake, Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster and Batman: Arkham Insurgency.

As stated, none of these games have been officially announced but it’s expected that Nvidia would not have records of the titles in their database if they were not aware of their existence. The leaked list includes more games including much older Square Enix title remasters. If the leak proves to be true, the gaming community has some very good games to look forward to in the next few years.

More news on the new Suicide Squad game

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is being developed by the same developers who brought us the amazing Batman: Arkham Asylum and its equally great sequels. The Suicide Squad game will feature a cast similar to the DC movies of the same name with the same irreverent sense of humor in the game’s presentation.

The game’s story focuses on Harley & Co. being tasked to take down the Justice League who has all been brainwashed by the villain Brainiac. While not much of the gameplay is known yet, we do know that the game is being developed only for current-gen platforms – i.e. the PS5, Series X/S and PC.

The Facebook Metaverse

Mark Zuckerberg recently announced some pretty big changes to Facebook starting with rebranding the company behind Facebook to Meta. Zuckerberg intends to use Facebook and its gigantic social reach to create the biggest online social gaming experience ever – the Metaverse.

This will be different from traditional online games – think less World of Warcraft and more Ready Player One. While there will be a gaming side to it, a large part of the metaverse will be about the social – and maybe economic - interaction between users. Many different companies are trying their own take on the metaverse right now, but none of them have the financial and technical reach of Facebook. It will still be a few years before we see any actually playable -verse but it’s certainly something to look forward to.

More Netflix for gamers

We’ve had four very successful seasons of Castlevania on Netflix, with the fourth season concluding the story earlier this year. The series was such a success that Netflix has announced a new Castlevania spin-off series that will explore more Belmont vampire-slaying goodness.

Netflix is also stepping into the gaming market by announcing the Netflix Games addition to its already existing subscription service. Anyone who has an active Netflix sub can also play exclusive titles from Netflix such as Stranger Things on their mobile devices through the Netflix app. It’s expected that Netflix will explore more of its franchises for gaming content and expand the library.
