November 2021 is full of big releases, so now might be a good time to plan in advance which games to get first. We have the next big expansion for the biggest MMO running today with the much anticipated Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker. We also have the next Pokémon game for the Nintendo Switch – remakes of fan favourite Diamond and Pearl - Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

GTA V is up next with its own next-gen upgrade targeted specifically for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. GTA V joins Skyrim as being one of the few games to be supported across three consecutive console generations. We now move on to the shooters on the list with the usual suspects – the new Call of Duty, Battlefield and Halo sequels will all launch close to each other in November.

While Battlefield 2042 and Call of Duty: Vanguard are standard affairs, Halo Infinite is trying something new by offering its multiplayer portion free for everyone to play on Xbox or PC.

New games releasing this week for PS4 and PS5

Those who would prefer to surprise their wallet right now are also in luck as this week sees a few significant releases on PS4 and PS5 as well.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is an action/adventure exploration game that has been receiving a lot of great reviews so far. With challenging boss encounters and unique environmental puzzles giving plenty of variety in gameplay, Kena’s open-world story has a lot to offer for anyone interested.

With fans still waiting for news on Diablo 4, the release of Diablo 2: Resurrected might be enough to buy Blizzard some more time. Diablo 2 was one of the best-received games of its time when it was released back in 2000, and while the visuals may not have dated well the gameplay is still top-notch.

Although Death stranding is a relatively recent game, Kojima has added a lot of new content to the game to justify a Director's Cut next-gen upgrade. Death Stranding: Director’s Cut has new weapons to defend yourself, new delivery tools to make big deliveries easier, a racing minigame, and new visuals to top it all off.

Rumour: GTA Trilogy remaster in the works

According to Kotaku and other longtime online leakers, Rockstar is working on remastering the classic GTA games of the PS2 era. The remasters of GTA III, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas are now almost fully completed and will be announced soon, according to them.

The remastered titles will supposedly use a newer game engine to give them updated graphics while still maintaining the original PS2-era feel.

Uncharted Collection coming to PC and PS5

While it was long rumored that Sony would soon be bringing the Uncharted games to PC soon, we received confirmation in the PlayStation Showcase last week. The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will include Uncharted 4 and Uncharted: Lost Legacy and will release for both PS5 and PC in early 2022.

While not much has been revealed about the collection, a 60fps performance mode is almost assured for both platforms. With this release, Sony is reaffirming its stance on bringing more of its exclusive games to PC. More high-quality games for everyone.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell getting an animated series

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell hasn’t gotten any new games in almost a decade, but the franchise was once considered to be Ubisoft’s biggest hit and was a critical and commercial juggernaut. Fans have waited a long time for more news on the series, and Ubisoft has finally revealed the news of a Splinter Cell anime series.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell anime will be a joint project between Ubisoft, Netflix, and John Wick creator Derek Kolstad. Netflix has proven its pedigree with The Witcher, Castlevania, and Resident Evil animated series already released on the platform, and Derek Kolstad being part of this project can only mean good things for the action.

A release date has not been announced yet.
