The future of Call of Duty on PlayStation

Although the deal is still not finalized, it’s all but certain that Activision Blizzard will be part of Microsoft by 2023. Activision Blizzard is home to some of the biggest franchises in gaming, and the publisher being owned by Microsoft had many people worried about those franchises not appearing on rival gaming consoles in the future. Microsoft assuaged some of those feelings by releasing official statements to say that games like Call of Duty will continue to be released on PlayStation and that they “intend to honor all existing agreements.”
This most likely means that they will stick to the marketing agreements Sony had in place with Activision since 2019. The joint marketing agreement will see Call of Duty games pushed heavily on PlayStation consoles for the next few years – most likely COD2022, COD2023, and Warzone 2 in 2023. Although it’s hard to say what will happen to the franchise on PS consoles after that, if Bethesda games are anything to go by then gamers should prepare for CoD to become Xbox/PC exclusives after 2024.
Crysis 4 Announced
It has been almost a decade since the last mainline entry in the Crysis series. The franchise is well known for pushing the boundaries of gaming hardware and new game engine technology since the first game proved impossible to run at high settings even on the best PCs at release. The trailer for Crysis 4 revealed very little information as it was just an announcement for the game although from the wording used, we can assume that the game is being made for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
Crysis 4 is yet one more title that we read about from the now infamous Nvidia database leak from September 2021. Other games leaked included the GTA Trilogy Remaster, God of War PC and Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Edition – all of which were announced after the leak and have now been released.
Major multiplayer exploit found in Dark Souls PC

A new vulnerability has been found in Dark Souls 3 multiplayer that allows invaders to run code on your PC. This makes it possible for someone else invading your game through the online multiplayer feature to hack into your PC. Bandai Namco moved swiftly to disable online features for Dark Souls: Remastered, Dark Souls 2 and Dark Souls 3 on PC until a fix is found. The vulnerability does not affect console versions of the games.
Although Elden Ring has gone gold and is now ready for release, some have expressed concern for the multiplayer portion of the game as it is made by the same developers.
More details for PSVR 2
Sony made an official statement with the specs for their new headset earlier this month, and now we have more details about the PSVR 2 thanks to an insider. The insider revealed that the OLED screens used for the PSVR 2 is several tiers above the screens used in the original PSVR and is also of much better quality than any other VR screen in use today. The pixel density is four times higher than PSVR 1 and is two times as much as the Quest 2.
If the pricing is right, all the new tech and the amazing screen will make the PSVR 2 the best headset available for VR gaming.
A new VR MMO is out
It’s widely considered that 2022 will be the real 2nd generation of VR with multiple new advanced headsets set to release this year. Even on the software side, VR developers are stepping up with better gaming experiences across the board such as Resident Evil 4 VR and Half-Life: Alyx. Although there are only a handful of titles on VR that fit the Massively Multiplayer aspect, developers are paying more attention there as well. The latest and biggest VR MMO is Zenith: The Last City set to release on Jan 27th for the Quest, PS VR and Steam VR.
2022 looks to be the beginning of a surge in VR games and experiences thanks to better headsets, hardware and a much bigger VR playerbase.
Lost Judgement is getting a TV series

Lost Judgement is an action-adventure video game in the same vein as the popular Yakuza franchise. Lost Judgement itself has had a dedicated fanbase for years before the game got more popular in the mainstream, and now the game is getting the live action treatment.
We are still waiting for Sega to make an official announcement, but it’s reported that popular Japanese actor Takuya Kimura – who also plays the main lead in the Judgement and Lost Judgement games – is involved in the TV show.
